Shield My Move is an independent service. We help you understand your moving quote, your mover, and your contract before you decide what to do. That's everything we do. Here's exactly what we don't do.
Shield My Move is not:
A moving company
We don't book, staff, or perform moves.
A moving broker
We don't arrange moves or sell your job to a carrier.
An insurance company
We don't sell insurance or damage coverage.
A government agency
We're independent and privately run. We're not part of the FMCSA, DOT, or any regulator.
A law firm
Nothing in a Shield Assessment is legal advice.
No guarantee of mover performance
Your Shield Assessment is based on the documents and records we have when we review your move. It is not a promise or a guess about how your move, or your mover, will actually go.
No guarantee of final cost
We explain how your price works, and flag where costs are likely to change. We can't promise what your final bill will be. Your final cost depends on things we can't know in advance, like the real weight of your things, extra services, and conditions on moving day.
Not legal advice
Our Contract Check explains what your document says, in plain language. It does not replace a licensed lawyer. Nothing in your Shield Assessment is legal advice.
Based on information provided
Our review is based on what you upload, and what's in public records at the time. If something is missing or we can't confirm it, we say so clearly. We never guess to fill the gap.
The decision is yours
Shield My Move gives you information to help you decide. Whether you move forward with any company, and how, is entirely your choice and your responsibility.
We don't control what happens next
Shield My Move doesn't own, operate, control, or supervise any mover. Once you have your Shield Assessment, what a mover actually does — including after a strong finding — is out of our hands, and Shield My Move isn't insurance against a mover's conduct.
