Shield My Move was built from more than a decade of experience in the legal field, more than a decade in transportation, and firsthand experience with a cross-country move. That experience showed how easy it is to miss something in a moving quote, and shaped the idea that people deserve a clearer, independent read before they sign.

No. We don't book moves, touch your things, or employ movers. We read documents and public records, then report back to you.

A carrier is the company that actually moves your things. A broker is a company that takes your information and sells your move to a carrier, for a fee. A broker never touches your things. Neither one is bad on its own. The problem is not knowing which one you hired.

No. We don't arrange moves, connect you with carriers, or sell moving leads. No mover pays us, and we have no relationship with any moving company we review.

No. We're an independent, privately run service. We look up public registration records when it helps, but we are not part of the FMCSA, DOT, or any state or federal agency.

No. We only check the quotes and companies you send us. We don't have a list of preferred movers, and we don't get paid by any mover. So we have no reason to steer you anywhere.

No. We can't promise how your move will go, or what your final bill will be. What we give you is an honest read of what your documents say right now, so fewer surprises catch you later.

Yes. You can send up to 3 quotes in one audit, at no extra cost. Comparing quotes is one of the most useful things we do.

You still get the full Mover Check, Estimate Check, and Contract Check. We compare it to normal industry patterns and flag anything that looks unusual, even without a second quote to compare it to.

Your written quote (a PDF or a clear photo) is the main thing we need. If you have a separate contract or bill of lading (the official list of what's being shipped), send those too. The more real paperwork we can see, the more specific your report will be.

We work with what you give us. If something is missing, like a USDOT number, the report says so clearly and tells you to ask the mover for it. We never guess and fill in the blank silently.

We line your quotes up side by side on what matters: total price, deposit, whether the price is locked in, what's included, and how much they think you're moving. Where the numbers or terms don't match, we explain why.

No. Shield My Move explains what your contract says in plain language, and flags anything worth understanding better. It doesn't replace a licensed lawyer, and nothing in your report is legal advice.
